Grand Funk Railroad – Sin’s a good man’s brother

Grand Funk Railroad – Sin’s a good man’s brother

I have discovered this song – probably like many other young fellows out there – at the end of the movie Law Abiding Citizen (which is a great movie, by the way) and I totally love it! I never heard of Grand Funk Railroad before but this song they made in the 70’s is very similar in style with the Led Zeppelin way of singing.

How many beautiful things are we missing?

How many beautiful things are we missing?

Washington, DC Metro Station on a cold January morning in 2007. The man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time approximately. 2 thousand people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. After 3 minutes a middle aged man noticed there was a musician playing. flash sound matrix v2

Following this Flash Sound Matrix developed by Andre Michelle, this new version – made by inudge.net – has taken the matrix loop to the next level. It has more sounds placed on different channels which you can control by adjusting the volume and pitch. Again, like the previous version it’s fun to play with and time consuming :)

World Science Festival 2009: Notes and Neurons

It is just so incredible how we react to a given pattern. We act like machines, creating an automatism and reflexes on the fly.
Watch Bobby McFerrin demonstrates the power of the pentatonic scale, using audience participation, at the event “Notes & Neurons: In Search of the Common Chorus”, from the 2009 World Science Festival.

Connie Francis – Siboney

Connie Francis – Siboney

This is the best Siboney I ever listened. Composed by the cuban pianist and compositor Ernesto Lecuona, Siboney is a world wide hit, played in various styles, from opera to rumba and jazz. But Connie Francis, with her powerful, amazing voice gives it’s best performance.
